  1. I have to have surgery in a few weeks and my stomach is in knots. Any natual or
prescription cures that would work. Thanx in advance.

Kava Kava is a natural antianxiety/sedative agent that can be taken
as extract, tea or chewing the root. It has been associated with
hepatotoxicity so you may want to consider liver function tests if you
    decide to go on it.

Valerian root has also been used for both anxiety and insomnia. You
can get it at most health food stores. You know it is fresh if it
    really smells horrid:-))

Of course any of the benzodiazepines (eg Valium) can be taken. They
are available by prescription only but can be addicting. Buspirone is
an antianxiety agent available by prescription that is not addictive.

Have you tried nonpharmacologic methods such as yoga, meditation,
    exercise, tai chi, qi gong??

    What kind of surgery??

    Good luck.

    Aloha,

    Rich

You should check with your doctor. If you are having surgery, there are some
"natural" remedies that will prevent you from having surgery due to
complications and side effects while taking them.
