Hiya,
Â
Converting and '83 Raleigh Comp from friction to index, and I'd like to go ahead and make the switch from downtube shifters to barcons while I'm at it. Trouble is, most bar-end shifters look horrendous with their rubber grippy-ends. I'm much more keen on getting an older pair of Shimano all-aluminum index shifters and sticking them on my handlebars. Seems like my option would be the adapter Rivendell sells. Question: are they any good?
