I can't find the original thread on my server to reply to
and I can't remember my Google Groups signon so apologies
for starting a new thread.
I asked about the CTC membership for 'unwaged' which I am
right now and today I telephoned them to ask if it was the
same as the full membership. I was told that it is but costs
only £18.75, just need to send a copy of my JS40.
The introductory membership is something different and gives
nothing except the magazine by the sounds of it.

You do get Numpty Points for not reading the small print
first as well! ;-/

What small print ?
"Special 1st year Rate and Life Memberships are
available - call 0870 873 0061 for details" is all I can
see on the website

Not an actual small print section, but basically what you'd
worked out for yourself, i.e., only get it if you haven't
been bothered to find out what it is...
