It turns out Nathan's Cervelo is an interesting one.
When we got the bike, it was bought from a bloke who bought it new March 04 (it's an 03 frame) from Sigma Sport. He's changing to a Litespeed Blade, so sold his Soloist, and Nathan is the lucky recipient. When Nathan got it, there was a bit of a wobble on the seatpost head. Mucho scratching of noggins to work out the problem. Anyhow, to cut a long story short, Vernon has just got off the phone to Cervelo in Canada. From the description of the seatpost, it seems the seatpost on Nathan's Soloist is one that was never supposed to be offered for public sale, was used by CSC and Cervelo don't know how Sigma got a hold of it. Vernon was told not to let Nathan ride it as the seatpost could break and damage him and we are to contact Sigma immediately to see about a replacement.
Just think, Tyler Hamilton's bottom could have been supported by that very seatpost... To which Nathan said, "If I sniff the seatpost, will my haemocrit level go up?" That boy has a sense of humour :-)

Or learning the extremes 'testers' go to gain a split second ;-)

Thank goodness.
We know there are no plans at the moment, but some time during our collective dotages we would like to have Granny Helen on the mailing list.
