  1. My doctor recommended cryotherapy for brown spots/age spots on my
face. I've been searching the internet for more information and visual
samples of this, and not finding much info. Has anyone had this done?
how safe is it, how quick to heal, is it really the most effective?
    thanks

I haven't had it myself, but my dad gets it fairly often to remove
precancerous patches on his skin. (He spent much too much time in the
sun for quite a bit of his life.) They simply "burn" the patches off
with liquid nitrogen. I gather it's not particularly painful and
doesn't take long at all, and it works well.

These are my opinions only, but they're almost always correct.

I haven't had it done for age spots, but I have had it done for warts
and some small cancers (too much time surfing when I was young). The
lesion or spot is frozen with liquid nitrogen. It hurts a little bit,
but nothing needing anaesthetic. A blister forms, but it is usually
gone in a couple of days. Highly effective, and very safe.
