giant crx 2 2007
can you guys give me some advice on what mods i need to do to this for touring, the back rack is no probs but its got a bloddy carbon fork so front racks as it stands wont wrk i dont think
im looking to do a long multicounrty tour so ill need back and front racks also are the wheels strong enough and will 700c schwalbe marathan plus's do the trick for the tires
would be grateful if yo could help

Go for the CRX3, it has all the wide fork clearances for big tyres and CrMo Forks, OK its 3x8 speed, but for touring that's ideal and the components will last longer. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/au/030.000.000/030.010.000.asp?model=10083
I would not use 2x9 for loaded touring.
An alternate, even cheaper, the Elwood. 😉
I would go for the CRX 3 too. I know a guy that uses one for touring and he does a fairly good pace over any terrain. The elwood weighs a ton.
