  1. Hello!

Long time reader, first time poster.

Due to my work I have to travel and while away too often the only option is somekind of cross training, usually running (which I happen to hate).

My common sense says that lower intensity exercise effect is peripheral and very much exercise specific (changes in used muscle and muscle trajectory specific cell metabolism) while VO2Max/L5 type would also have more "common" effect via heart stroke and plasma volume development. (though I think I have read of studies where cross training hasn't had effect in exercise specific VO2Max)

So would it make any sense concentrating on L5 type of exercises while forced to cross train?
