For all you senior cyclists who have evolved into 75% pavement riding, the Schwable Marathon Mondial cross country tire is a wonderful option. I changed from a standard wide mountain bike tire to these babies and I cannot believe how much more nimble and free wheeling my Mamba is. It is also surprising that these narrower tires jump stumps and roots very well and perform quite acceptably on a moderate trail. I've yet to get in a mud hole with them, but the joy they give for the rest of my ride will compensate for any problems in the mire.
