  1. I have just fell in love with crit racing.... I have found that my training needs to change for this type of racing. I am having problems keeping up with the duration of the high speeds and duration of the sprints. I want to work on training for next year. How does the following plan look???

    Sunday: Race or Long Ride
    Monday: Rest/Recovery ride
Tuesday: Intervals (2 sets of 5 - 45 seconds on and 75 seconds off with 5 minute rest between sets).
    Wednesday: Recovery ride
Thursday: Intervals (as done on Tuesday) or sprints
    Friday: Hills
    Saturday: Long slow distance

I would like to increase my intervals by 10% each week.

Every four weeks would be an "easy" week / recovery week.

    --------

If this plan is good, how long should I keep it up? What changes are needed? Suggestions?

Right now I ride 250-300 miles per week, but it has been distance rides with a heartrate in zone 3 (typically).........

Please give me your thoughts and input.

  2. Has anyone used these? Are they worth the $170 price tag?
