  1. PT hub is on the fritz - only reads non-zero about 10% of the time and half those readings don't make sense. Tried air drying, forced air drying, several sets of batteries, contact cleaner, etc. Nada. About 40F this am, so went out to do a 60 mile crushed stone trail ride. CX tire was on the wheel with the PT so I used it anyway and also took the CPU - maybe it will work this time (isn't doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results a sure sign of insanity?). Anyway the trail was flooded in a few spots deep enough to give the hub a good dowsing (BB under water - can you say wet, cold/feet). About 20 miles into the ride it gets its second dowsing and goes to dashes only. About a minute later, I get the normal zeros back. Another minute and I have speed. Another minute and the power starts working and works great for the rest of the ride. Go figure. I just hope I don't have to do that on every ride to get it to work. My soaked feet were cold! - TF
