Hi , i have a cannondale caad 8 with shimano sora 9 speed and its equipped with fsa vero triple crankset, i want to upgrade my crankset to a double one what would be the best decision ?? Thanks

FYI. If you want to convert you bike to a Double, you could simply remove the Granny (inner most) Chainring & adjust the front derailleur's stops, accordingly.

If your chain ring is 50-39-30, common in Shimano road triples, just remove the 30 and adjust the stops, as advised by alfeng. You'll have a dead click in your shifter, but otherwise, everything will work fine. However, depending on the size of your largest cassette cog, you might find some hills harder to climb. I'm assuming here that the reason why you want to go to a double is that you hardly ever use the smallest ring, so if you can climb anything using 39/biggest rear cog, that's one way to go.
If the reason is that you want the 53 big ring on a standard double, the easier and cheaper way to go is to swap out the cassette for one with an 11t small cog. 50/11 is actually a higher gear ratio than 53/12.
