Hi I'm trying to get the cranks off the frame in order to replace the bearings.
That's the non drive side pictured. Obviously I got that crank off no problem. There was a little dirt and rust but not too bad. I've given it a few good thumps with plastic mallet but it's not showing any signs of coming out although it's now there is some play. I dont want to hit it any harder to risk the carbon etc.
All the videos I've seen just show the drive side crank sliding out with a pull or a tap.
The inner ring around the axle and inside the bearing (pictured) seems solid with the axle.
Bike is a Trek Madone 5.2, 2014 with Ultegra.
Any help appreciated.
