  1. it's a 36 degree cartridge type, had this on my mtb 2 weeks and its already suffered from water ingress, rusty gritty and all the grease has been washed out.

the only seals are the ones on the cartridge. i would have expected an external seal.

i'm going to try and get a refund, not up to the purpose for which it was bought etc.

anyone suggest a good h/s that doesn't cost an arm and a leg !!

    cheers

    k

  2. My expierience with Chris King is that it is one of the finest headsets on the market. They work for mtn and road and they can last a lifetime almost. They are kinda pricey but it is worth every penny. They are made in the USA. One of the reasons your headset may have failed is that the Headtube on your frame may need to be faced. Take it to a good shop and have that done before you put on a new headset. Hope this helps you out.

  3. Have a look at Woodland headsets. I would rate them as a better buy than Chris King!

  4. Where can I find info about Woodland headsets? Do they have a webpage? Any online retailers sell them? And why do you like them?
