We are studying the impact of temperature on the fonctional properties of the cytochrome c oxidase (COX) in different species from different thermal environments. We tried to quantify the concentration of the cytochrom c oxidase (in the electron transfer chain, mitochrondria) in our samples, but have not been able to do so. We tried several methods mostly in differential spectrophotometry, but the results have all been the same. We can not have values that are replicatable and reliable. We would like to know if you guys know a secret recipe or if you are aware of labs where we could send samples for quantification (around 32-64 samples).
