I googled around to find the data, but it seems hard to find.
I know that many hard tails with 100 mm forks and good ground clearence will be in the 31 - 32" Standover range for a 17.5" frame.
Ask the shop where you intend to buy to verify the set up.

i have a 21" specialized with a 100mm fork and its about 32" standover. i would think that a 17.5" frame would be shorter than 32"...
