The Estate has gradually got rid of everyone from the area of the
Station so now all that is left is the Youth Hostel. I hope they
don't terminate their lease.
I think the Estate wants to leave the whole area derelict.

I was told by a Fort William local that the people who were running the
restaurant/cafe are now at Glenfinnan Station (? Dining Car ?)
The Estate clearing people out brings back memories of other Estate
clearances....
Re ownership see ... (from Grand Cayman in the Caribbean..)

....
Another good reason for Land reform in Scotland !

My thanks to everyone who contributed to my original post..... I just hope
the bunkhouse re-opens soon ! I've stayed there many times (summer and
winter) and enjoyed some good conversation and, of course, a wee dram or two
with folk up in the "glass tower".... ;-)
