  1. Given a fit enough walker, a relatively light pack, two stout boots, a good
    walking stick, OS' finest maps, the likely weather and prevailing winds in
    the first week of January, and eight hours of daylight, is this coastal
    itinerary realistic:

    Gweek-Coverack, Coverack-Lizard, Lizard-Porthleven, Porthleven-Penzance, Penzance-Porthcurno, Porthcurno-
    Pendeen, Pendeen-St Ives.

    It's tricky trying to figure what the actual walking is like from reading the map--how do these
    projected days compare in difficulty to Porlock-Lynmouth and Lynmouth-Combe Martin which I walked
    last January?
