Sure, I do that all the time... you must mean "altus", a type of mash
made from the crusts of stale sour rye bread.

you do realize that "corn bread" contains no corn (maize) whatsoever...
corn bread is a type of rye bread that is relatively dense... corn
bread is the king of all breads.

I've used Jiffy Mix and I would imagine there is nothing even resembling
bread in that stuff...
