  1. Hello to everyone I've bought a packet of whole buckwheat Could someone please suggest how to cook
it and some recipes with the whole grain ? I tried to boil in hot water but it ended up bland, raw
and too chrunchy What did I do wrong ?

    Thanks in advance

First buckwheat has to be roasted or its really bad. I buy it roasted already cause its a pain to
roast yourself. You can roast it in the oven on a baking pan but you have to stir it pretty much
constantly or it burns. If its sort of greenish its probably not roasted, if its brownish then it
    probably is roasted.

For a single serving I use 3 oz. of water and 1/3 c. of buckwheat. Boil the water, add the
buckwheat, cover and reduce to simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit
(covered; dont peek) for 5 minutes.

I usually eat it for breakfast with some kind of berries or fruit.

    Good luck

    k
