  1. How can I do it?

I have a 68x113 bottom bracket. Does Shimano make a BB w/ a shorter spindle so I can run it as 2x9 (44 & 30 or 32)? I don't want to just take of my granny gear and set my limit screw so it won't shift down, I would like to have my big ring moved closer to the chainstay so I can use it in all gears without it being cross-chained.

    Thanks!🙂

your crank arms might touch your chain stays if you go too short(BB).

Why not try out road cranks first..
