  1. I recently read a paper (JBC, 1975, pp1513-1524) talking
    about Concanavalin
    A. It said both Mn2+ and Ca 2+ metal ions appeared to be
required for saccharide binding to occur. My question is
if I want that glucose binds ConA, do I have to use
buffer with Ca2+ and Mn2+ in the solution in order to
get better binding result??. Could someone give me a
    answer? thanks.
