  1. Hi,

I am having trouble uploading Computrainer data to CyclingPeaksSoftware. I have the latest released versions of both ( 3D V3 (Aug04) & Coach Software 1.5 & CPS1.1). I convert 3D data to .txt using CS (time, speed, power,RPM, HR, miles, cadence, toss 30) and drag the .txt file onto the CPS calendar, see the dialog box indicating 1 known file processed, but nothing shows up on the workout.😕

    Any help appreciated.

Try bypassing the CS- don't use it. After your workout press "R" twice on your keyboard. Now open Cycling Peaks. Next, on your PC, go to Programs - Windows Explorer - My Computer - Local Disk - Program Files - Computrainer 3D - Data - Rider Performance. Click and Drag desired workout onto CP. An "Import Files" window will prompt you to name the file and save. You must select an athlete from the pull down at the top. Now in CP Home, select yourself as the athlete then go to the bottom and choose calender. Click on the date of your ride. Nothing to convert.

The CS is almost worthless if you have CP. I have only found one use for it. I have modified one of the .erg programs to perform the MAP test. I could benefit by using CS to avg my last 60 seconds of each test.

    Good luck

If you can get your problem solved, you just may have the ultimate winter training set up. Hunter Allen has just come out with an entire off season program for Computrainer users.

Got it humming now, thanks. 🙂 Did the Threshold Power test and added a Hunter Allen Winter Computrainer Plan to my TrainingPeaks subscription. Having used one of his plans before (Beginner Century), I knew I liked his stuff.

Now, if I can stop traveling on business long enough to finish the plan before I can ride outside this Spring, I'll be in good shape. Here in Southern NH, I've got 4-5 months before the snow and ice clears, so I think I've got a good shot at it!
