I am settin up a compact double bike. I have to pick
both a front and rear derailleur for the bike.
It currently has a front 50/34, so a 16 tooth capacity,
and the seat tube is 28.6 without a brazeon.
The rear has a Shimano 'H' 7-speed cassette cluster that is
13-15-17-19-21-23-26, so the total capacity of the whole
drive train is 29 teeth, f(16) + r(13) = total(29).
I have Shimano Sora 'Road' fourteen speed brifter set,
double front, seven rear.
My question, which derailleur work best for indexing
a front compact double? Will I face any problems
at all with the rear? What other questions should
I be asking myself?
For Fronts:
There is an IRD Compact Front Derailleur, but needs
an adapter and comes in around fifty bucks. It is
specifically for 50/34 combos.

For Rears:
Can I use any short cage Shimano? Like the Ultegra RD-6600-SS?
