I live in the Beaches area in Jacksonville Florida, but I work downtown. It is costly for me to drive every day, and so I choose to cycle. The trouble there is that the roads in Jacksonville (especially the commuter paths) are not very bicycle friendly. My solution: ride in a pack. I'm trying to organize large groups of riders to ride together for the morning commute in order to increase their visibility and physical presence on the road. Ideally there would be a meeting point, and from there people would have the option of staying with the group as long as it is convenient for them. Off of the track and into the streets!

This is a great idea. While I do not live in your area(San Diego, CA for me) I am working on getting myself, a guy I work with, and a few other people to do this for this reason! How is it going so far?
