Retired Gen. Wesley K. Clark, the guy who just threw his hat into the ring, is the chairman of the board of WaveCrest Laboratories. I don't know anything about the 'new' technology involved and whether it is unique or just uses his name to sell, but it might be worth a look if you have some free time.
I am not into electric bikes, but they are popular here in Holland (primarily because this is a flat country and the distances between villages and cities are not so great). Just passing this on ... bike related and very mildly political.

Well interesting but too short a range for anything but cityriding it seems to me. 24 km isnt a whole lot if you need to get there and back. But maybe thats if you use the assist continuously. 30 kg also seems a bit high and is it a good idea to put the battery in the hub? If you could ditch the battery and use it as a regular bike I feel it would be more versatile. Ditching a wheel doesnt sound like an option tho. 😉
Note that the website suggests that the bike might have military applications. It is common for companies that are trying to sell to the military to have ex-military in the company somewhere.
