Hi all, I'm a 72 yr. old woman who is getting back on the bike after being off of it 20+ yrs and after back and open heart surgery. I was a very active cyclist in my 20-40's and then life intruded. I have lost 35 lbs and now work out in the gym and walk/hike almost everyday. I have also dusted off my old bike and am on it about 2-3 days a week for about 40 min. each time. I need some advice on what would be a good hybrid bike for me at this stage of my life. I am 5'2" and now weigh 148 lbs. but am steadily losing.
Would love to hear from older women who may have just begun cycling or those returning after a hiatus. Would love to hear from you all on bike type advice. Thanks
