Hi I've been a keen cyclist for over 4 years I'm only 18 years of age and have ridden to a very high standard over the past few seasons . Last winter I had several setbacks , Depression injuries and family problems which prevented me from training . I have started training again doing about 100 miles a week not too much compared to what I used to do about 200+ I'm just wondering how long it would take me to get back to the standard that I was at ie 10 miles in 21-22 min and 100 miles in less than 5 hours ! I would really like to start racing again this year but have doubts because I feel [censored] compared to previous years any advice from people who have been in the same position would be great thanks!
Glad to hear you are back on your feet and the bike. I can't really say how long it will take you to get back to where you were, though I would imagine you should be able to get there quickly with a focused training regimen. My suggestion to you though is to make sure you ease back into it, as you certainly don't want to burn yourself out with over-training. Good luck.
