  1. "Anyone can have a go in the hill climb at Stoke Holy Cross, just south of
    Norwich, on Sunday (October 24). Joint promoters Godric CC, EACC and NABC have
    obtained Come-and-Try-It status for the event, so club membership is not
    required. Entries are one pound. First rider is off at 11am. The course is the
    eight-tenths of a mile climb of Long Lane towards Poringland, the longest climb
    listed in the EDCA handbook. Tea and cakes in the hall afterwards. Details from

    The above is from the EDP today, in case anyone is interested. Please pass the
    information along to *anyone* you think may be encouraged to have a go, as it
    is a "come-and-try-it" event, so only £1 to enter.
