Personal preference.
Nothing is wrng with either tubeset. They both build a good frame.

Both tubesets were once considered to be their respective companies high end stuff. (especially the 531) Today both tubes are at or near the bottom of the line for reynolds and columbus. Today columbus high end is called foco, nemo or genius and reynolds high end is 853.
