  1. I am also in the same boat as treker88...just a few years removed. I am a college soccer athlete and a three-year struggle with injury has left me unable to play any longer. My path has changed and I need some direction. I am a good cyclist - found that out through rehabbing my foot. I need as much information as possible about college teams - preferably in Michigan or out east that are relatively new programs - since I am inexperienced. However, I am hoping for a scholarship - do coaches give time trials to give people a chance?

  2. unfortunately, i don't think any schools have varsity cycling teams. they are all clubs. so getting a scholarship for bike riding is pretty much impossible i think. too bad i know.

maybe i'm wrong about this, but im pretty sure

marian college in indianapolis gives scholarships as well as Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, NC. I also think that midwestern state in texas gives scholarships. another great cycling school that doesn't give scholarship is Fort Lewis in Durango, CO
