Does any feel like they have a harder time breathing in the colder air (40s vs 60+)? Maybe I just had a couple bad days, but I felt like I was riding at 5,000ft elevation.

Yep, it takes me a lot longer to get warmed up in cold weather.I never expect to keep the same pace as I do at an optimum temperature like 65F. I just start out slower and build my pace and when it gets really cold I say the hell with it and stay indoors. I got nothing to prove.

Personally, I find that my breathing is MUCH harder in the cold. I haven't had real asthma problems in a number of years, but on really cold days when I take a deep breath, things definitely feel wrong.

The trick to breathing in cold air is to breath in with your nose and out with your mouth. This way you get enough air and it won't be as hard.

What do you pros wear in the cold weather? I'm new to riding, and now that the fall has hit, I'm sooo unmotivated to get out there, and I miss it. 🙂
