This is actually a coffee bread but once you taste it you won't care
what it's called!
Coffee Cake
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup sugar
11/4 cups buttermilk at room temperature
2 eggs
1/4 lb. butter room temperature
5 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
Filling mixture ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cups finely chopped nuts
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 lb butter melted
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, milk, eggs, baking powder,
salt, butter, 21/2 cups flour, and beat a medium speed for 2 minutes.
Add remaining flour. Should be slightly sticky. Use more flour if
needed. Knead about 5 minutes. Divide dough into 3 sections and roll
into rectangles approximately 12x7 inches. Brush each with melted
butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon mixture, reserving some for the
top of the finished loaf. Roll up first rectangle, then the second
around it, and finally the third, forming one loaf. Place in greased
loaf pan. Brush top with melted butter and sprinkle with more of the
cinnamon mix. Let rise one hour then bake at 350 degrees about 40
minutes.
Enjoy!
