The genetic code is one big puzzle for sure.
I notice something in the wobble position (3rd position) thats noteworthy.
In some codons the 3rd position can be any of the 4 bases, G,C,A,U and still code for the same amino
acid, (8 of the 20 are like this) In some codons there is a split in the last position where 2 bases
code for one amino acid, and 2 for another (16 with some coding for stop, start, and some
duplicating coding for the 8 above) In almost every case the split is specific: if there is a split
then a pyrimidine, U or C, in the 3rd will code for one of the two aa's, and a purine, A or G, in
the 3rd will code for another.
That suggests a clue. It seems that 3rd position is based on size as pyrimdines and purines are
different sizes. That suggests that the fit of this 3rd position may be important.
Also I note which codons have gone through this split in their 3rd position of the codon. I looked
to see if there was any noticeable pattern. I think the center position codon or 2nd position may be
a key. So I looked at what center position codons had the wobble split
A in center has 4 purine/pyrimidine splits in 3rd positon
G in center have 2 purine/pyrimidine splits in 3rd position, as does U in center have 2
purine/pyrimidine splits in 3rd position
C in center have no purine/pyrimidine split in 3rd position.
If it takes time for the genetic code to evolve and it takes time for the 3rd position to go from 4
base wobble to 2 sets of 2 base wobbles - one for purine, one for pyrimidine - then perhaps there is
a clue as to the history here, or perhaps the amount of use of each base, or perhaps the
availability of each base or perhaps...?
Anyway the purine/pyrimidine split is mostly in A (which seems also to be the easiest made and most
prevalent base). Then G and U and finally C (which is the rarest base in prebiotic experiments)
It seems this code is trying to tell us something - but what exactly?

The main points of my hypothesis are:
1. How life began as a reaction to the sun/UV and the thermal cycle of hot-dry-sun/cold-wet-night.
Then continued as an energy moderator with modification through descent.
2. The Four Options and how they relate to thermodynamics, biological classification, the first
cell, modification on all levels, psychological behavior of individuals and groups, inner
conflicts and a therapy of resolving them, etc.
3. Model showing relationship between adaptation fitness and natural selection. How it supports
punctuated equilibrium and the 'slope and plateau' model etc.
