  1. Hi
just a basic ques on the coast to coast.

If you could only do a part of this walk which part would you do?

Now consider it with about 10 Scouts in tow age range 11 - 14 boys and
    girls.....
The reason being my Scout gp is considering doing a part of the walk next
near...but we couldnt do all of it so need a section of it to do

I'd start from the East then, keeping the best part for the final
    section.

You could do RHB - Ingleby Cross and then start the second part in
Richmond - I wouldn't feel sorry for the gap, do that only if you
consider it necessary to do each mile of the entire walk.

Great! I'd love to join you ... 🙂

If you'd do just one part and don't plan to do the rest later, then
choose Lake District (St Bees to Shap). The scouts will find that much
more interesting than the North York Moors, too.

But why do a part of the C2C then? There's enough walks to walk
completely in some days, such as the Wainwright walks across the Lakes.
The C2C should be done completely, IMHO, though not necessarily in a
    single run 🙂
