I'm on the committee of our local BMX racing club and we're just starting to focus on promotions for 2008 - why? because the Olympics have BMX racing for the first time. That's grand if the Summer Olympics are infact held over Summer, but I'm in New Zealand it's mid winter then - so our tracks are closed and we'll need to be creative to leverage off the publicity and enthusiasm generated.
We have some good medal prospects so the media should be giving us a really good plug.
Has anyone here had a similar opportunity - how have you been able to make the most of it?
