  1. I'm toying with the idea of getting some clipless platforms. I like being
clipped in for some stuff and clipped out on other stuff.
Is there a platform pedal with clips that allows you to stay UNclipped while
wearing shoes with cleats? Or am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but I like the look of the Crank Bros
Mallets. I've read opinions of the eggbeater system, but not the Mallets
specifically. Anyone with experience with them?

    My favorite: http://tinyurl.com/2rlhu

Like them as much as my 959's. May be a little heavier than the crank bros
but easier to get in and out of in a hurry.

I've been on the Mallets for the last 4 or 5 months. Before that I used the
Candys. The Mallets are easier for me to get in and out of. The platforms
work well for riding while not clipped in. My favorite pedal at the moment.
