Came across this site (www.climbbybike.com) recently and found a climb that I did (La Maella) in '05 in Italy's Abruzzo region where the highest Apennine mountains are. 2km of vertical!! Probably the hardest climb I've ever done (except for perhaps Le Mont Vontoux - but that's shorter)
I submitted a belated report on the climb that I thought I'd share.
