  1. My club ran a 'TdF Prologue' event (a come and try it TT
    with the same distance as the TdF prologue). Not only
    did we get 40 riders out on a day of *awful* weather
    but we got a write up on the BBC website as well:

    Nice one, Arthur. We had one earlier in the year - 8km, which the winner did
    in 8-30, but it *was* downhill for some of the way!

    on the day in question, or I might well have turned up myself. OTOH, the
    original announcement said "turn up on your normal roadbike" and my
    'normal roadbike' is *very* non-UCI compliant! <grins>
