  1. Has anyone used one of these? If so, how efective (or otherwise) is
    it?

I'm off to Scotland in a week's time and was thinking of trying one of
these for the times when the repellent and head nets haven't worked!

  2. Got one and use it all the time.
Give the bite about five or six good zaps (or more if you're like me and
enjoy it) and then put up with the intense itching for about a minute or so
and then it will itch no longer.

Me and my wife both use it a lot and it seems to work ok.

It is more of a fun item than seriously works. I found that I had to click
it several times before it had any noticeable effect and I wouldnt be sure
that I wouldn't have forgotten about the itchiness in that time.

IIRC the instructions say to click four or five times. I find this does
    work.
