I've had this intermittent clear ear drainage problem for about a month.
It started after a cried for about 2 minutes a month ago.. the next morning I noticed white globs
of stuff in my right ear. I used a cotton swab to clean out... then I noticed clear, foul
smelling drainage.
This went on for a week, then went away. it came back, so I saw my doctor. He prescribed Zephrex and
Zithromax.. he said my ear drum was inflamed. The doctor also said that I was congested.
Some greenish foul smelling junk was cleaned out of my left ear.
Now after that, and finishing my Zephrex and Zithromax, BOTH ears are draining clear fluid, much
worse now! In the day time I hardly notice it, but at night time I wake up with both ears dripping
fluid. The ear canals itch. There is no foul smelling stuff now.. just clear water draining from
both ears and the fluid is of a sticky consistancy. And now my nose runs each morning also, plus now
I have a sore throat.
What is going on with me?
fyi, I have been also diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis in the past 2 weeks.
