the friend who sold me my mountain bike gave me a classic drop-handle
bike a couple of days ago
it is much, much faster than my mountain bike and as I live on a steep
hill, going into town today, I had to keep my brakes almost fully on,
whereas on my mountain bike, I just freewheel down at about 30mph
I don't have a speedometer on my classic, it is a BSA, but I reckon it
would do about 45mph down that hill and I am not willing to risk it at
the moment
it has a rack on the back, and so I will be able to fit my camping
stuff on, or artist's kit and while away the hours in the
countryside...
I will make the trip to Tenby on the classic, probably in July, once I
have done it up a little with new tyres and possibly pedals that fit a
shoe...
