When I was living in Sydney, I started riding home from work one day,
and noticed the front brakes were very soft. Checking them out,
nothing looked wrong, UNTIL I realised that my front wheel had suddenly
become a crapper with missing spokes, worn rim, dud tyre etc! Yes,
someone had switched it! At least they hooked up the brakes again 8-o

This happend after parking in the basement of a CBD office building,
but with open access to the street...

Now I use a U-lock plus a cable - both wheels secure and the frame
double-secured.

Yes,always lock the bike with a U-lock and a chain-lock to both front and rear wheel through the frame and some big fixed pole or object.

Once I return to my bike and there was this bloke kneel in front of my bike and trying to unlock it,I approached him and asked what he was doing,the reply was he mistaken it was his bike,what a BS @rse.But he walked away immediately.
