Whilst in the Brecon Beacons in July, I saw what might be a Circumzenithal arc (sort of upside down rainbow). It was 18:50 on 9/7/2005, high in the sky in a direct line with the sun (which was low in the sky).

I've never seen one of these before, and not sure how rare they are. Anyone else seen one?
Nice - don't recall having seen one. Try emailing Les at the Atmospheric Optics site, he'll give you more info (and probably ask if he can use your image on his site too!)

I was at Cwm Llwch the afternoon before (8th). Someone turned up with camera gear and a tripod. At first I thought he might be the departed one, but he didn't match the photos I have seen.
