long it takes, accommodation, luggage carrying services etc.

is definitely possible to do it in one day including breaks. In some of
the villages it was possible to rent rooms, but they are likely fully
booked in the main season. Since there are frequent trains between the
villages you could also leave your luggage at the starting point and go
