  1. The new Bomber is here and installed, courtesy Dan the Man. Nothing like
the look on the faces of LBS guys when I show up with fresh bakery
goods.(cinnamon rolls and ham/cheese croissants) Too bad they still have to
get some stupid V-brake part that wasn't included. But all is good. I have
two rides out on the new fork. I've played with the ETA a bit - today's ride
had a 3.5 mile climb so why not use it, but on general trail rides I just
    left things alone.

After the big climb, up to the towers behind my house, Mr. Adventure and I
hop on this fun little singletrack. It's littered with sticks and tiny
rocks. Much smoother than the SID thank you very much. Then the next little
section is tricky. It's got some steep turns in it, and I finally figured
out last time on this trail that if I hang my butt way over the back wheel
these turns are much easier to negotiate. The last turn has a log drop that
you have to turn into as the front wheel hits the exit of the turn... ass
ove the back... look around... yee-ahh!! I run the section clean, that's a
first. So, instead of waiting to see how my sweetie does I just keep doing
until the top of the last climb out. The last corners is tricky, he didnt'
make it but oh well. Then, bomb down 2.5 miles of gravel road. This feels
    good.

yep, after 2000 miles I think I deserved an upgrade.

Yah know. I said that to my wife, but she didn't appreciate it. 😉

Glad you enjoyed the new fork. Parts DO make the difference, sometimes.
