Chronic ASTHMA for 66 years! Sunday 12.01.2003 WOLLONGONG
I was introduced to Glyconutrients by my son in June 2002,
which was when he joined Mannatech. To be honest I really
didn't believe that these products could help me in any way,
after suffering from chronic ASTHMA for 66 years! I decided
to try them so as to "pacify" my son who was sure that they
could help me.
I have suffered from asthma from the age of 9 and have
nearly died several times. I've tried every conceivable
TREATMENT known to man, including electrolysis,
cortisone/prednisone, ventilin, seretide, ephedrine,
adrenaline, and many more that I can't remember the name of,
let alone spell! The doctor would put a tablet under my
tongue to slow down my heart and give me injections to stop
the asthma and put me to sleep, but I would only wake up
with the same problems.
I am 75 years young and live in a retirement village in
central Wollongong, although I don't consider myself
`retired` as such as I still sell Avon, and have done so for
30 years. Over the last 10 years I have slowed down
considerably and prefer to sell to friends. Over the last
couple of years I have thought about giving it up many
times, mainly because of my asthma and the driving. I used
to slip down to the local shop to get bread or milk to save
driving down to the supermarket, but my asthma became so bad
that I could not walk back up a slight hill when returning
from the shop without having an ASTHMA ATTACK! Also I live
on the first floor and I would always need the ventilin when
I got through the door.
I started on PLUS and CATALYST and within 2 weeks I noticed
a change for the better. I could not put my finger on it but
I knew I was improving. After 66 years of suffering I came
to the realization that I HAD NOTHING TO LOSE. If it worked,
I could continue what I loved doing, which was seeing my
"AVON" friends and having a chat over a cup of coffee. After
4 weeks I signed up on a four pack so as I could buy my
products at wholesale price. This enabled me to take all 4
products, i.e. Plus, Catalyst, Ambrotose and Phytaloe. I
still pinch myself sometimes as I had "learnt to live" with
asthma since the age of nine, and was told by the doctors
that I would have to live with it, so I did. As a matter of
fact when I was about 40 my mother confided in me that the
doctor had said when I was 16 years of age that I would be
lucky to see my 21st birthday.
After 6 weeks, I came to the realization that I was not
using my puffers nearly as much as I had been before. One
night around mid - September, I was chatting with a good
friend over the phone, which is something I don't mind
doing. I also have been known to burst into raucous laughter
when something funny is ever said. The penalty - an asthma
attack! My family would always say; stop laughing Mum. You
know what will happen! This particular night in mid -
September I will never forget. I was lying on the lounge
room floor chatting away madly after having a good laugh
about something my friend Jan had said and she commented
that I had not started to wheeze after laughing! That's when
I knew I wasn't dreaming and that these GLYCONUTRIENTS were
really doing their job. I don't really understand how but I
don't really care.
It is 6 months since I started taking the products. I am
still driving and socializing with my friends, many of whom
have some serious health challenges. I rarely use my puffers
anymore and can toddle off down to the shop whenever I need
to. I do not go a day without taking my Glyconutrients and
definitely don't need to take any DRUGS whatsoever!!! My
friends have seen the vast changes in me but "old habits die
hard" and until I'm doing double somersaults off the balcony
I don't think they will be convinced.
I am hoping that my friends will "see the light" as I did
and step out and at least try these wonderful products. I
know in my heart of hearts that I wouldn't be here today if
not for the GRACE OF GOD and THESE WONDERFUL PRODUCTS`. Even
at the age of 75 years (on the 24th of January) I have
realized that it's never too late. My advice to all you
"oldies" out there is to keep an open mind, as you never
know what's around the corner. Thanks to a great reward
system I expect to be getting my products for nothing very
soon. Who knows, I may even take on a chauffeur when the
traffic gets too much for me!
