  1. Ok, who was looking for a recipe for peanut butter pie? I always double
    up on the chocolate layer, and prefer a chocolate crumb crust.

    Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    1 1/2 cups milk
    2 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
    4 large eggs -- separated
    sugar
    1 envelope gelatin
    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    1 square unsweetened chocolate -- melted
    1 pie crust (9 inch) -- baked
    1 cup whipped cream
    chocolate curls

    * better if you make more filling and make thicker layers... triple
    filling makes 2 pies
    In heavy saucepan, mix milk, cornstarch, egg yolks and 1/3 cup
    sugar. Sprinkle gelatin over mixture and cook on low, stirring until
    mixture thickens and boils 1 min. In bowl, stir 1 cup mixture and
    peanut butter. Into remaining mixture, stir chocolate. Refridgerate
    till mixtures mound. Spoon chocolate into crusts.
    In bowl with mixer on high speed, beat egg whites to soft peaks.
    Beat in 1/3 cup sugar until disolved and whites stand at stiff peaks.
    Fold peanut butter mixture and 1/2 cup whipped cream into beated egg
    whites. Spoon onto choclate layer. Refridgerate till set, about 2
    hours.
    Top with remaining whipped cream and chocolate curls.
