  1. Just out of curiosity, is a road bike strong enough to pull a trailer type child carrier? I'm in the process of choosing my first bike and I've decided to go with a road bike for many reasons. However, I'd still like to take slow rides with my family and my toddler, obviously, does not ride a bike. I can't buy two bikes so I'd like to know if I can realistically pull a trailer with road bike.

(I'm thinking about buying a 2008 Cannondale Six13 Feminine 3 Double, if that makes a difference)

  2. Well I have an urban/road bike, and we have went up to 17 miles before. So yes.
