AU$28 for 10 700c tubes with 50mm valves. Has anyone tried them? Even with postage AU$9, for whatever I buy except big things, still works out a good price, so I'm tempted, but it doesn't state what weight they are.
It lists undiscounted retail at equivalent of $16.60/tube. Even the nicest Conti doesn't cost that much. But at $2.80/tube, it's a great bargain. It's almost worth buying to share amongst 2-3 friends.
I had the screwy bit of the presta valve of a Conti tube break off on me when i tried to pump it. I purchased the Conti tubes from Probikekit at abt $5 each.
So brand names mean little to me now ...
How much difference can there be in weight between tubes?
Unless they are going to be your race wheels, a heavier tube would mean that the tube walls are thicker, presumably this would give you better puncture protection(?). Just my thots.
I understand the most consistent reason for pulled valve is due to over-tightening of the valve seat nut by the user. Some suggests to just leave it loose.
