Well.... the time has come for a new crank.
The crank on my Marlin is starting to fall apart, but I'm kinda short on cash. I saw an ad for Vuelta in Mountain Biking Magazine, and I checked out their site. They have cranks for amazingly cheap, but the question is.... are they any good?
The ad says:
Vuelta USA is a industry leader in manufacturing high quality cranks. Built from rugged cold forged aluminum, Vuelta Cranks are available for MTB, Cross, and road bikes. Sleek, stiff, and lightweight, truly the ultimate in high performance drivetrain components.
they seem pretty full of themselves, and they made a typo in the first line....
Anyways, has anyone ever tried these out?
or even heard of them?
here's their site:

Also, one last question.
Here is a photo of the crank that came stock with my Marlin. Does anyone know what kind this is?
